About Me
I am pleased to announce that I have moved and joined the team at the brand new and state of the art health facility at “GREENWAY MEDICAL HUB”
I am happy to bring my experience and enthusiasm in providing quality healthcare to the service of the local community.
At full operational capacity of the center, I will be working with a team of GP colleagues, along with experienced allied health professionals, radiologist, pathologists, medical specialists and pharmacists.
I will collaborate with the local specialists, hospitals and other health facilities to deliver the highest quality of care to our patients and achieve the best health outcomes.
I am a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and through years of practice in different branches of medicine, I gained extensive and diverse experience in my work which enables me to deal with the general daily health needs of the general public.
I graduated from medical school in Baghdad-Iraq after completing a 6 years undergraduate (British style curriculum) university course and then did some years of hospital rotations as an intern and resident medical officer before leaving the country and immigrating to Australia.
In Australia I was assessed by the Australian Medical Council and passed their exams and obtained the AMC certificate which evaluates overseas qualifications as equivalent to those from the Australian universities.
I started my training in Melbourne Victoria for 5 months where I undertook a postgraduate assessment and familiarization course which involved rotations in Dandenong and Austin hospitals mainly.
Then I started practicing as a resident then senior resident medical officer in different hospitals in NSW; John Hunter, Wollongong, Shoalhaven, Blacktown, Mount Druitt then finally at Westmead Hospital. During those years I did a general rotation in different branches of medicine which prepared me well for my next step in my career which was the training to become a specialist in the field of General Practice.
In 2010 I was admitted to the GP Registrar training through the Australian General Practice Programme which I concluded in 2013 and after passing all the exams and meeting all the requirements, I was awarded the fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
While I carry a diverse experience in General Practice, I do have special interests particularly in the following areas of medicine:
- Accidents & Emergency conditions
- Sports Injuries
- Paediatrics (Children’s Health)
- Geriatrics (Elderly’s Health)
- Men’s Health
- Asthma
- Diabetes
I always endeavor to provide a quality healthcare to my patients in accordance with the latest evidence based medicine, recommendations and guidelines from renowned Australian health organisations and regulatory bodies, and while I always make every effort possible to meet my patient’s needs and concerns, I am bound to abide by the rules and regulations of the Royal Australian college of General Practitioners, Medicare Australia and other government agencies in accordance with the law.
